About Jamestown's Favorite Restaurant

Reel Java began as a dream rooted in fresh starts, big ideas, and a deep love for good coffee and even better community.

In 2018, the Weaver family made the leap from Nebraska to Kentucky when we purchased Timber Pointe Resort. With a background in insurance but a heart for hospitality, we set out on a brand-new adventure. From day one, we knew we wanted to open a coffee shop—not just for our guests and residents, but as a way to connect with the local community. At the time, there wasn’t a single coffee shop for miles, so we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

Our first space was a humble setup inside our office. We offered a few flavors of specialty coffee and homemade vanilla ice cream with a small selection of toppings. But word spread quickly—soon, folks from surrounding towns were making the drive just to try what we were brewing (and dishing up). Thanks to that overwhelming support, we expanded into a nearby building on the Timber Pointe property. With indoor seating and a small kitchen, we were able to offer pastries, breakfast items, and a few pizzas.

But we didn’t stop there. We introduced our homemade family recipe bread, then began crafting sandwiches, adding more breakfast items, pizzas, salads, and wraps. As our menu grew, so did our following—and not even a pandemic could slow us down. During COVID, we adapted by carhopping orders directly to customers, and the community kept showing up for us.

In 2022, we took the next big step: purchasing a beloved building on the square in Jamestown. We teamed up with Elizabeth (our longtime manager) and her husband Dylan, combining forces the four of us began to design the future of Reel Java. Together, we dreamed up menus, created a warm and welcoming space, and built something we hoped the entire community—and lake visitors—would love.
